The Los Angeles Fire Department blog keeps getting better. Not only do you get the key facts, and the stuff reporters crave (like the name of the horse -- Lacy -- involved in the 1 hour, 48-minute rescue,) but now he's linking to background sources.

In yesterday's post about a high-rise fire on Sunset Boulevard, he links to a movie filmed at the location ("Earthquake,") the Wikipedia entry for asbestos, and the local NBC affiliate's online slideshow of the fire. Plus, he links to two bloggers who had first-hand accounts and pictures of the fire.
