Water Taxi's Christmas Eve special

From today's Water Taxi e-mail alert:
Important:
Effective Monday 12/24/07 the commuter service at Red Hook will be discontinued for the winter. This is due to safety concerns caused by high winds at the Van Brunt Street Pier. We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to serving the neighborhood again in the Spring.

Best Wishes for the Holidays,

New York Water Taxi.

Especially interesting considering their HQ and main dock is only about 200 yards away by foot. They've let people board at those docks in the past, but apparently for this winter they've opted to skip the Red Hook passengers.
